Providing The Right Connections & Safe Passage For Startups On Their Fantastic Voyages

I can't believe it's Friday but here we are! One of the top events I'm looking forward to comes from our ecosystem partner The Startup Station led by Victoria Yampolsky. Victoria and her team, which also includes PowerUp Globally where I'm happy to serve as an ambassador, have put something truly special together with Breaking Barriers. This is a unique, two-day experience especially geared towards female founders. Preparing for fundraising or sticking with it in the trenches is an experience quite unlike any other in the realm of entrepreneurship and in life. What participants can look forward to is a solid educational experience, something Victoria prides herself on and that I admire very much: Inside the Investor’s Mindset: Investors in early-stage startups consider the founding team as the most significant factor in determining the startup's long-term potential. Knowing how to present your team as strong, resilient, and capable and will accelerate your funding process. Overcoming Bias: Female founders face unique challenges in the fundraising process. This event will provide strategies on how to overcome bias and help you build the financial confidence you need to succeed. Actionable Insights: Learn practical, proven techniques to hone the entrepreneurial mindset which encompasses the qualities that investors value most in a founder and that are critical to long-term success. . This knowledge is vital for positioning your startup as a compelling investment opportunity, minimizing execution risk, and building a successful company. Real-world Lessons: Get inspired by invaluable advice from successful founders and investors who have been through the ups and downs of the startup journey. Their experiences will help you gain focus and clarity and avoid common pitfalls to maximize your chances of success. Networking Opportunities: Build connections with other female founders, investors, and industry experts who can provide support, advice, and potential opportunities for collaboration. Register today! Proudly supported by Prepare 4 VC, Boston New Technology (BNT), Startup Grind Boston, Techstars Startup Weekend Boston and Born Global Community. 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫: Use code BNT24 for a free ticket! Otherwise, tickets start at $39. 🔗 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐮𝐩 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞: https://lnkd.in/dxKb96ki 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐔𝐒: First 50 signups get access 5 must-have fundraising resources: ✔️ Investor Readiness Checklist ✔️ 50 Most Frequently Asked Investor Questions ✔️ The Venture Capital Due Diligence Questionnaire ✔️ The Psychological Playbook for VCs and Startups ✔️ A Comprehensive Guide for Creating Financial Model Assumptions The event will be recorded, so even if you can’t attend all sessions, you are not going to miss on any valuable information. #startups #womenwholead #entrepreneurship #BostonNewTech_StartupStation

Today's the Day, Tonight's the Night, and Boston New Technology (BNT) under the leadership of Shweta Agrawal is kicking off our EdTech + AI Startup Showcase. The Startup Showcase, our flagship event series, began many many years ago -- and was one of the main draws for attending BNT experiences. Since 2021, when Jason Kraus and I became Operating Partners and transitioned BNT into its current future-facing state, we've been super keen on reviving the Showcase and enhancing it as much as possible. Given what I've seen from people like Johnny Rice, Annannya Sharrma, and Katherine C. I can say that we're getting closer and closer to a full transformation. Classic traits and new enhancements combine toward something truly special. Special thanks to our presenters today: Deepanshi Bansal Mark Philip Isabella Johnston Syed Rafi Naqvi Mireia Torello, PhD Anushka Singh Terence Tan Di Ye Amy Han We're wishing Abbiramy Arumugam a fast recovery. Providing The Right Connections & Safe Passage For Startups On Their Fantastic Voyages

Today is a super special day at Boston New Technology (BNT) and Prepare 4 VC as we celebrate two epic occasions: Parna Sarkar-Basu's birthday AND her judge reveal for Startup World Cup Boston. I cannot stress enough how kind, helpful, and impactful Parna has been for Jason Kraus (and now Shweta Agrawal) and I. She has helped scores of startups, spoken at some of our most important events, and is known for jumping right into the action and giving it 500%. So beyond my thoughts, WHO is this amazing human?   Parna is a true tech evangelist, and serves as a strategic advisor to transformational leaders and tech pioneers and is instrumental in launching and revitalizing companies to drive sustainable growth. Specializing in orchestrating strategic pivots, Parna identifies new market opportunities for legacy companies and positions startups for successful fundraises and acquisitions. Recipient of multiple awards, Parna has propelled dozens of tech enterprises into innovation leaders in highly competitive sectors -- from robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) to enterprise software and professional services.   Parna is frequently invited to speak and host executive sessions at industry conferences and tech events. She contributes regularly to various publications on a range of topics, including innovation for good, emerging tech, entrepreneurship and building market credibility for founders. Parna serves on the board of net zero institute, Alray Scholars Program, Boston New Technology and Fisher College Career Advisory Council. Parna is also a mentor for the MassRobotics, Innovation Studio and Prepare 4 VC accelerator programs. Parna will bring her experience as a builder, entrepeneur, knowledge expert, and innovation strategist to the fore on August 28th -- when our eight startups will pitch their ventures to her and six other incredible judges. We hope to see you there! ...Happy Birthday once again Parna! #BostonNewTechnology #BNT #StartupWorldCupBOS2024 #startups

Sam Tansey and his entire team at Olinda Media twice provided an impeccable media partner experience for Techstars Startup Weekend Boston powered by Boston New Technology (BNT). I've watched this recap so many times, and still I can't get over how beautiful it is. The founder stories, the sense of immersion, and the obvious sense of thoughtfulness which went into the production of this brief but brilliant mini-documentary is priceless. Thank you Sam, from the bottom of Shweta Agrawal and I's hearts. Next, to every single participant of the past Startup Weekends -- whether you rocked it with me and Vivek Udaykumar or experienced the Enyu R. + Dianna Lesage Era, you MADE this what it was and into the movement, as Enyu would say, which it is today. It's more than just a weekend -- it is an opportunity to showcase everything that we stand for at BNT and beyond: Inclusion, Inspiration, Education, and Empowerment. Next year, when Shweta brings her unique vision to the third iteration of this next generation of Startup Weekend, we hope to see not only all of the ones who defined this last most glorious event -- but new friends too -- whether you're a founder, a designer, a hacker, a marketer, or simply someone with a pocketful of dreams. Come find your people. https://lnkd.in/e9duT_yP #StartupWeekendBOS #techstarsstartupweekend #BostonNewTechnology
