  • Most people like a checklist of “things to do”. Do you like to begin your day with a checklist? Do you get satisfaction from ticking off a list as you complete tasks? Our organization thrives on checklists to be thorough, excellent, and efficient. The benefits of checklists are endless! The TTT course, Becoming an Effective Teacher, incorporates checklists at the END of each module to remind and encourage the learner how to make the most of the module. As an adult learner, one is provided a checklist BEFORE the module’s assessment to determine: - Completion of the lessons - Participation in discussions - Attempts at quizzes - Completion of assignments - Recognition of how to earn a badge for the module to earn a certificate for the course. These checklists make it easy for one to determine if they are on track or not. If you have not signed up for our course, sign up today and get to experience this amazing feature and many more as you learn: https://lnkd.in/dXMRaxmb #teachingtrainingtogether #teachers #educators

The school leader is the head learner in the school community. In the TTT online course Becoming a More Effective School Leader, we work through three ideas that school and leaders ought to do as learners: 1. Model the example to follow Lead by example.Teachers should be encouraged to try out new ways of working and develop new skills. Teachers will find it difficult to do this unless you make them feel supported and safe to depart from old habits. Remember you are to persuade and enable, rather than order teachers to change their practices. 2. Collaborate among school leaders School leaders ought to collaborate with other school leaders as they seek to learn new and different ways of doing things. There is great potential in a community of school leaders who collaborate to learn. 3. Share leadership with teachers A school leader shares leadership if the community shares common characteristics such as the desire to develop collegiality and learn for life. It is your responsibility to introduce this way of thinking to your teachers to develop a community of collaboration. If you are a school leader and you have not signed up for our course on becoming a more effective school leader, sign up today and discover more about how to become the head learner in your school. • A school is just a building without qualified teachers. This is a driving force to why Teaching Training Together exists. We believe that every teacher should have an opportunity to be a lifelong learner to become a more effective teacher. “Probably nothing within a school has more impact on students in terms of skill development, self-confidence, or classroom behavior than the personal and professional growth of their teachers.” (Roland Barth) Roland Barth suggests there are three types of teachers: Group 1 - Teachers who are unable and unwilling to critically examine their teaching practice and unable to have other adults – teachers, school leaders, parents – examine what and how they are teaching. Group 2 - Teachers who are quite able and willing to continuously scrutinize and reflect on what they do and make use of their insights to affect periodic changes. These teachers are uncomfortable accepting examination of their practice by other adults. Group 3 - Teachers who are able and willing to critically scrutinize their practice and are quite able and willing, even desiring to make their practice accessible to other adults. What group would you put yourself in? 📌Teachers are lifelong learners! Become more effective like the educators in Group 3! #teachertraining #professionaldevepment
