On #SITGraduateInstitute's Global MA in Diplomacy and International Relations program, students recently visited the UN office in Geneva, Switzerland to deepen their understanding of multilateral diplomacy, a key component of the UN, through meetings with experts in the field. 🌎️ 🌍️ 🌏️ Why join our IHP Climate Change program? #SITAlum Wassa says, "This program is an INCREDIBLE opportunity to study climate justice with people at the frontlines of the climate crisis. I think this program is essential to understanding environmental justice outside of the US. It not only explores the local forces that lead to environmental inequality but also the larger global forces I think many traditional programs glaze over. This program has heavily influenced my future career and activism interests. SIT does such a thorough job taking care of its students. I couldn't have asked for a better program." On our IHP Climate Change program, The Politics of Land, Water, and Energy Justice, travel from the US to Morocco, Nepal, and Ecuador to engage in a comparative study of the causes and of social-ecological impacts of climate change. Apply for Spring 2025 by November 1! https://ow.ly/NlJ350TQagH #SITStudyAbroad #StudyAbroad

I came across this picture from my summer in Geneva, which sparked a reflection on how much that experience has influenced my professional journey. One year ago, I had the incredible opportunity to study International Relations and Multilateral Diplomacy at the School for International Training. This was my first time in Europe, and it opened my eyes to the intricate world of diplomacy and global governance. I attended nearly 45 hours of engaging classes on topics like counterterrorism, geoeconomics, and global migration, led by esteemed faculty and guest lecturers. I also took immersive French classes to improve my mastery of the language. A standout moment was attending the first AI for Good Global Summit, where I connected with thought leaders in the field and explored the intersection of technology and international development. The program solidified my commitment to contributing to meaningful, impactful work and reinforced my belief in the importance of engaging with global issues. I am especially grateful for the many conferences and events I attended throughout the program, which enriched my learning experience through direct engagement with experts in the field and improved my networking skills. I’m excited to continue applying these insights as I navigate the next steps in my career.
