Happy National Bison Day! ð Did you know our team at Rawhide Energy Station cares for two bison herds roaming our grasslands? Since 1983, when we adopted our original herdâincluding the legendary "Duke of Wellington"âweâve grown and managed these amazing animals. Split into upper and lower herds, we currently have between 20 and 51 bison in each herd thriving on our range land! Our bison have even earned awards at the National Western Stock Show, including the prestigious Tony Heim Memorial Award in 1997. Fun fact: Bison can sprint at 35 mph and jump over 6 feet! Celebrate these incredible creatures with us! #NationalBisonDay #Bison #RawhideEnergy
