Proudly representing the nonprofit hospice and palliative care community.
About us
The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) is a membership organization comprising nonprofit, community-integrated hospice and palliative care providers. These members are dedicated to ensuring patients and their families have access to care that reflects their individual goals, values, and preferences. Representing providers from across the United States, NPHI and its members help design more innovative and effective models of care, advocate for comprehensive and community-integrated care customized to meet each personâs unique needs, and build collaboration between national thought leaders, decision-makers, and other healthcare stakeholders to improve hospice care. Together with our members, we ensure our most important priorities, policies and initiatives are learned at the bedside, not in the board room. To learn more about NPHI, or find a mission-driven, community-based advanced illness provider nearby, please visit our website at www.nphihealth.org, or call 844-GET-NPHI (438-6744).

As we honor our veterans this week, we're reminded of the invaluable role our #CareHeroes play in providing specialized support to those who have served.
This week we have been visiting with care partners in the community so we can honor their residents who are veterans. In this blog, Chaplain Bill Miller talks about why our #CareHeroes (both our clinical teams and our volunteers) are trained to offer special programs for those who have served our nation in the military. #HospiceMonth #veterans #Military NPHI - National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation

When you ask somebody about their experience with hospice, almost everyone has a positive story to share.  At our 2024 Annual Summit, attendees were thrilled to watch Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet on stage, entertaining our members while taking the time to share his familyâs personal connection to hospice. Eric spoke about his family's positive experience with our member, Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, who cared for his father. He reminded us how hospice care touches families from all walks of life and across the world. We were pleased to have Eric join us and to hear firsthand how hospice has benefited his own family! #HospiceWeek #CareHeroes

The rising influence of private equity in hospice care: what does it mean for patients? Recent studies show an alarming trend in health care: private equity firms are rapidly acquiring hospice providers, often prioritizing profit over quality of care. In this powerful piece, NPHI Board Vice Chair and HopeHealth CEO Diana Franchitto discusses why nonprofit providers like HopeHealth are different. Nonprofits are here to serve the community, reinvesting every dollar into patient care rather than investor returns. At NPHI, we believe in People Over Profits, always putting patient needs first in every decision we make. When care providers make decisions informed by what they know at the bedside rather than in the boardroom, communities thrive.
