As we honor our veterans this week, we're reminded of the invaluable role our #CareHeroes play in providing specialized support to those who have served.

Have you ever wondered what NPHI’s collective impact is?     In 2023, NPHI members served over 2.7 million individuals including family members and loved ones of patients offering personalized quality care for those facing serious illness. Each day, our members have an Average Daily Census (ADC) of 52,213—meaning that on any given day, more than 52,000 individuals are receiving hospice or advanced illness care by our members. From pain and symptom management to emotional and spiritual support, our #CareHeroes deliver dignified, compassionate care that prioritizes comfort and quality of life. #HospiceMonth #PalliativeCare  

When you ask somebody about their experience with hospice, almost everyone has a positive story to share.    At our 2024 Annual Summit, attendees were thrilled to watch Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet on stage, entertaining our members while taking the time to share his family’s personal connection to hospice. Eric spoke about his family's positive experience with our member, Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, who cared for his father. He reminded us how hospice care touches families from all walks of life and across the world.
