âND Noreenâ is a hard-red winter wheat developed by North Dakota State University and released by the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station in 2020. Intended to replace Jerry, ND Noreen has a higher yield potential with similar winter-hardiness, height, maturity and quality. It has shown excellent bacterial leaf streak resistance, intermediate resistance to stripe rust and Fusarium head blight and has good lodging resistance. ND Noreen has better stem rust resistance than Jerry and comparable leaf rust resistance. It has performed well in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota. âND Noreenâ is exclusively licensed to North Dakota Crop Improvement & Seed Association (NDCISA), please contact them to learn more: https://lnkd.in/gbY3r4tN Click here to check out other NDSU wheat varieties: https://lnkd.in/gHtGpaVm #NDSUAgriculture #Agriculture #Farming #Wheat

UV-curable coatings are highly valued for their efficiency and environmental benefits, such as low VOC emissions and reduced energy use. Traditionally, petroleum-derived reactive diluents in UV-cure formulations contribute to ecological concerns. To address this, bio-based furanic di(meth)acrylates have emerged as sustainable alternatives, leveraging renewable materials to produce high-performance coatings. This technology introduces a UV-curable coating composition featuring furan-based di(meth)acrylate reactive diluents derived from biomass sources. These furanic compounds serve as reactive diluents to lower formulation viscosity while contributing to the overall hardness, durability, and thermal stability of cured coatings. The composition includes acrylate-functional oligomers, furan-based reactive diluents, and photoinitiators, optimized to deliver robust, eco-friendly UV-curable coatings. The furanic reactive diluents have been synthesized using a straightforward process that ensures consistent quality and yield. Applications: -Industrial and commercial coatings for furniture, automotive parts, and electronic devices - Protective coatings for wood flooring and metal substrates - Optical fiber coatings and 3D printing resin formulations - Eco-friendly formulations for printing inks and packaging This technology is US Patent pending (US 2023/0227685 A1) and is available for licensing/partnering opportunities. âND Dylanâ is a high yielding winter rye that has very good winter hardiness. It is tall with good straw strength and seed weight is average. Tested across 26 sites in ND from 2006-2016, ND Dylan had a higher yield than Dacold, Hancock and Spooner. Winter hardiness ratings and early season vigor scores demonstrate its potential for use as a grain, cover or forage crop. âND Dylanâ is named to honor the memory of Dylan Zwinger, a young man who loved the land. âND Dylanâ is exclusively licensed to North Dakota Crop Improvement & Seed Association (NDCISA), please contact them to learn more: https://lnkd.in/gbY3r4tN Click here to check out other NDSU rye varieties: https://lnkd.in/gBq-rG_b #NDSUAgriculture #Agriculture #Farming #Rye

Check out our Northern Advance®! This sycamore has beautiful green foliage and a flaky, exfoliating bark. Very cold hardy, it will thrive in zone 3 and may even extend further north; hence its trademark name. Northern Advance® is fairly rapid growing and due to the low humidity in the Northern Plains, anthracnose (fungal disease) is not expected to be problematic. Preferring moist soil, it could do well along stream corridors, or in open areas such as parks, sport facilities and campuses. Northern Advance® would be a hardy option to diversify your tree selections!
