ð¡ Collaborating to Drive #DigitalHealth Transformation Across Africa! We recently convened the AU Member States Digital Health Leaders Forum and hosted a panel on âPerspectives of Digital Health Implementation in Africaâ at the Africa HealthTech Summit - AHTS, in collaboration with Africa CDC. These events provided a unique platform for digital health coordinators from African Union member statesâ to share insights, learn from one another, and strengthen collaboration. While many countries face similar challenges in implementing their respective digital health, their solutions often carry unique perspectives that can inspire new approaches elsewhere. By bringing these voices together, we can foster a stronger, more unified movement towards sustainable digital health transformation across the continent. We remain committed to enabling collaboration and peer learning among member states, recognising the critical need for improved continental coordination to achieve #digitalhealth transformation in Africa! #AHTS2024 #Innovation #Health #HealthEquity #DigitalHealth #AfricanUnion #Africa

ð Successful Study Tour to the European Union! We recently concluded an insightful study tour with our partnersâAfrican Union, African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, regional REC Secretariats, and representatives from various African governmentsâto the institutions of the European Commission. The tour focused on the movement of people, particularly business professionals and skilled service providers like engineers, within the framework of #Trade and #Migration. A highlight of our journey was engaging with EU leaders, including Michael Gahler, MEP and Vice-Chair of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, Dirk Bochar, Secretary General of Engineers Europe, Ian Pritchard, Secretary General of the Architects Council of Europe, and Paula Krieg, Senior Policy Officer at Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Their insights on fostering the mobility of professionals offered invaluable lessons. This exchange of knowledge will play a significant role in shaping national and regional policies to ease professional movement across Africa, particularly in sectors such as engineering and architecture. It will also guide the development of AfCFTAâs Mutual Recognition Agreements and the implementation of the AU Free Movement of People Protocol. The knowledge and networks built through this experience will drive forward Africa's trade integration and lay a strong foundation for future cross-continental mobility in the professional services sector. #MobilityofPersons #AUFMP #Engineers #Architects #Mobility #FreeMovement #AfCFTA #Africa
