The US Government Accountability Office released a report that examined discipline disparities among girls in public schools. Among girls, Black girls faced more and harsher forms of discipline than others. Girls Inc. was able to support the development of this important research. Discriminatory and subjective discipline makes girls feel unsafe at school, and increases the likelihood they will drop out early.
