Miquel Serracanta Domenech, Director of the Master's in Supply Chain at EAE Business School Barcelona, attended the annual conference EDGE 2024: The State of the Global Supply Chain, organized by CSCMP - Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals from September 29 to October 2 in Nashville (United States). 🌎✈️ The conference brought together more than 2,000 attendees from over 30 countries (400 academics and more than 1,500 professionals) from global supply chains. Our professor represented EAE Business School Barcelona and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, where he serves as the responsible leader for Europe & UK within its Global Board of Directors. Miquel shares his top 3 takeaways from the event: 🔹1st – The need for continuous learning and upskilling in an era technologically marked by the impact of AI on business; 🔹2nd – The extraordinary value of global professional connections, which must always be nurtured; 🔹3rd – The innovative ideas that always emerge when visiting other cultures, understanding different ways of managing companies, and communicating with professionals from various sectors and countries. Excited to present my research at the 2024 Academic Research Symposium CSCMP’s EDGE Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition™ ✨ The presentation were highlighted on AWESOMELeaders.org newsletter this week! Standing among so many brilliant minds, I’m reminded that my work is just a small part of a vast sea of knowledge, but it’s a contribution I’m deeply passionate about. My presentation, "An Ecological View of Supply Chain Resilience in High-Volume UAV Manufacturing", reflects meaningful years of learning and collaboration with the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration High Volume Team, guided by the insights of amazing mentors, Dr. Ila Manuj, Dr. Kamesh Namuduri, and Dr. Terrance Pohlen , colleagues, and industry leaders since I first began my research during undergraduate years. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported and inspired me along the way, and I look forward to continuing to explore how we can make supply chains more resilient.
