ð§ Project Milestone: Lost Bridge Force Main ð Weâre thrilled to share a major milestone in the Lost Bridge Force Main project for the Sanitary District of Decatur (SDD)! This vital upgrade is designed to enhance reliability and capacity in Decaturâs wastewater system, serving over 80,000 residents. Whatâs New? In October, the project team successfully completed the pullback of a 14-inch force main under Lake Decatur, marking a significant step toward replacing the 1950s-era pipe. This upgrade will: â Prevent overflows during peak conditions â Protect Lake Decatur â Ensure resilient wastewater service Next up? Phase II unites the loop across key districts, introducing cyclist-friendly 8-foot-wide brick paver cycle tracks, ADA-compliant sidewalks, and advanced traffic signal improvements. With updates along Ft. Wayne Ave., N E St., and E Main St., this $4.75 million project is redefining downtown Richmond for pedestrians, cyclists, and the entire community. Our role?
