The Relentless Pursuit of Whatever Works in the Life of a Child.
About us
The California Association of Health and Education Linked Professions is a public education consortium of school districts and charter schools (also known as local education agencies). Our mission is the Relentless Pursuit of Whatever Works in the Life of a Child and we achieve this mission through the programs and supports we provide to educators, children, students, families, and communities. We serve children annually through innovative behavioral health programs and we provide school districts and charter schools with consultation, special education supports, prevention and intervention supports, and professional development. Our office consists of three primary branches of services, each providing unique services to member school districts: Desert Mountain SELPA (DMSELPA), Desert Mountain Charter SELPA (DMCS), and Desert Mountain Children's Center (DMCC).

Have you ever wondered what inspired Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee" or Michelangelo's masterpieces in the Sistine Chapel? Although these works belong to different genres of art, they have something distinctively in common. Both artists created masterpieces out of challenging environments. One musically evokes the chaotic and rapidly changing flight pattern of a bumblebee, while the other visually depicts his idea of the âLast Judgmentâ through 300 intricately painted figures on the ceiling of a chapel. Transforming challenges into a masterpiece is truly a work of art, especially when it involves transforming the lives of children, which presents its own challenges and feelings of overwhelming angst. https://conta.cc/3RjVuNn
