Don Richardson, Brand USAâs chief diversity & inclusion officer, and Coralis Rivera-Aponte, senior manager, social media, attended IGLTA's Global Convention in Osaka, Japan last week. Brand USA sponsored the closing reception, where Don delivered remarks to the attendees, highlighting that âitâs not just about having a seat at the table, but about ensuring every voice is heard. The more perspectives we bring to the table, the stronger we becomeâboth as individuals and as organizations.â Weâre also excited to share that IGLTA will return to the U.S. next year, hosted by Visit Greater Palm Springs. At Brand USA, we remain committed to promoting diversity in travel and showcasing the U.S. as a welcoming destination for all. #BrandUSA #IGLTA2024

ðï¸: Live From Travel Week: Leadership Alignment with Generative AI Brand USA's new Senior Vice President of Innovation and Chief AI Officer, Janette Roush, offers you a look at the urgency of learning and leading the way in this era of artificial intelligence, which is evolving at a rapid pace. "[Amadeus] did an interview of nearly 400 travel industry tech professionals around the world. Those professionals said that their number one objective for 2025 is working with generative AI, and that the obstacle to making that happen is lack of expertise on their teams. I do not want lack of expertise to be the reason that the U.S. travel industry falls behind when it comes to generative AI. This is going to affect how we advertise, how we personalize our offerings, how we reach our customers." Curious how the travel industry can benefit from generative AI? I shared my vision for Brand USAâs role in preparing for the future (and preparing for the ânowâ - this is already here!) during an enrichment session at Travel Week in London. And thanks to Mark Lapidus and many others, my talk has been edited into a listener-friendly format. Joseph Marinelli, sadly your job offer was edited out of the final cut ð but know that we stand ready to support your awesome team as they explore generative AI.

With a week-long programming schedule, including seven panel discussions and 15 live performances, #USAHouse at SXSW Sydney showcased the diversity of experiences travelers to the USA can have, while bringing these to life for festival attendees. Whether chilling out with a desert oasis sound bath, learning to break with the pros (including a special appearance from U.S. Olympic breaker B-boy Jeffro), or enjoying a sunset tailgate party, there was something for everyone across the week. Delicious food, themed drinks, and live music every day rounded out the experience, and USA House was buzzing with thousands of attendees enjoying a taste of the USA. The week was capped off with a visit from U.S. Embassy Chargé dâAffaires, Erika Olson, who participated in our âDance & Cultureâ Day on Saturday, enjoying native dance, Hawaiian hula and hip-hop performances. Thanks to our partners who helped bring USA House to life: Utah Office of Tourism, Travel Nevada, Travel Oregon, ESPN, Visit California, Visit Anaheim, Visit Greater Palm Springs, Delta Air Lines, Jackson Family Wines.

This yearâs #BrandUSATravelWeek is setting a new record with over five thousand one-on-one meetings between U.S. travel industry partners and international travel trade and media representatives! âWe're an emerging market for travel trade, so this is the first time Iâve been at Travel Week and itâs been incredibly valuable... Weâre really excited about the 100th anniversary of Route 66 in 2026, and we just hired representation in the U.K., so itâs great to be here to talk about all our plans for that. Having a presence is so important for every state, and we're really grateful to be working with Brand USA." â Holly Marquez, Travel Trade Program Coordinator, New Mexico Tourism Department These strategic appointments are designed to help drive international travel to the United States and create opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and growth across the tourism sector. #BrandUSA #DestinationMarketing
