‘We almost forgot about them’ 😮   We often hear this when we talk to customers about our inductive sensors.   Once installed, they do their work in the background for years – maintenance-free, reliable and robust. Whether in mechanical engineering, on conveyor belts or for speed monitoring: you practically don't need to pay any attention to them!   Our inductive sensors are at home in a wide range of applications. But what environmental conditions can our little heroes of automation withstand? Can they cope with the most extreme temperatures, or will they collapse in magnetic fields?   We can't wait to hear what you think! 👇

The platypus is considered a living fossil. Did you know that? 💡 Our inductive sensors are not quite as old, but have a similarly historic background. More than 50 years ago, we added our first non-contact, electronic sensor to our range of mechanical sensors. Over the decades, our portfolio of inductive sensors has developed rapidly. Automation without them? Hardly conceivable today. Similar to the platypus, we harnessed the unique power of the electric sense. ⚡Our inductive sensors detect the position of metallic objects reliably, contact-free and without wear. For various applications, even in harsh environments. Curious to learn more about the power of sensing? Find out here 👉 https://lnkd.in/enqFPhHA #InductiveSensors #IndustrialAutomation #Balluff

Wanna play a round of ‘Happy Families’* with us? 🃏 But let’s do it Balluff style, with our (bio)diversity of sensors. Well, we have to admit that our sensors have some room for improvement when it comes to their cuteness level, but otherwise they can keep up with mighty nature quite well, can't they? Which other categories would you choose? For a little inspiration, learn more about our (bio)diversity of sensors here: https://lnkd.in/eWbRfr8e *Maybe you’re more familiar with one of these names: ‘Jeu de familles’, ‘Gioco delle famiglie’, ‘Authors’ or ‘Quartett’. 😉 #game #sensors #inductivesensors #industrialautomation By the way: The card deck is NOT for sale in our store. Unless demand forces us to do so at some point. 😜

How many electrical sensors are there in the beak of a platypus? 🤔 That was the question we asked you. And here's the answer … There are more than 40,000! These enable it to detect and find its prey without contact. And what does this number have to do with our inductive sensors? 40,000 switching cycles: This is what an inductive sensor achieves within just one minute when it is used to monitor the speed of a machine with 2,000 rpm on a gearwheel with 20 teeth. In this way, it monitors the correct speed of the machine at all times. More than expected, isn't it? Thanks for taking part in our little survey. 😀 Find out more about the power of sensing here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/enqFPhHA #inductivecsensors #balluff #IndustrialAutomation #sensors

Harness the power of electro-sense ⚡️, just like a platypus! Did you know that the platypus can detect electric signals in water thanks to its unique electro-sense? Similarly, our inductive sensors detect metallic objects reliably and non-contact – with zero wear and tear. Ideal for automation across industries, from machinery to food production! With our sensors monitor and control processes even in extreme environments. Whether high-pressure resistant, hygienic or with a PTFE coating – we have the right solution for every challenge. Take your automation to the next level – with sensors that redefine electro-sense! https://lnkd.in/ewNXweTu #inductivecsensors #balluff #IndustrialAutomation #sensors

A duck-like beak, flipper-like limbs and a flat, beaver-like tail? 👀 Sounds like a fantasy animal? Well, it truly exists!   With this combination of features, the platypus is perhaps one of the most unusual and versatile mammals in the world. But it gets even better: Platypuses don't just dive into Australian fresh waters to find their prey – they close their eyes, nose and ears as they search. But how do they find their meal in the mud? 🤔   Equipped with thousands of receptor cells, the beak of a platypus can detect the tiniest movements, subtle electrical fields and the precise position of its prey without contact. Just like our inductive sensors reliably detect and monitor metallic objects with no-contact! ⚡️   Now we are curious about your opinion: 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐮𝐬?   Hint: It’s more than you expect! 😉   #InductiveSensors #detection
