These intern peers will likely be people you will know for decades if you choose to remain in your career path. I’m so very thankful of the friendships I made with my fellow interns and early career colleagues. These are people I still communicate with even 25+ years later.

At the conclusion of every week, I have a 5 minute task on my calendar that says “Work Me / Work Us” to purposely take a moment to look back and answer two simple questions for myself. 1) What did I do at work this week that I’m most proud of? 2) What happened at my company (or on my clients) this past week that was great? This forced reflection duality is helpful for me to balance my place in my org while also recognizing collective progress within the collective org. Reflecting is a “me and us” action. Make it a habit!
