We should plan in such a way that without single miss every thing is covered and do first time right. Always schedule hourly rounds based on the manufacturer recommends. 3. Make sure equipment and facilities are updated within the software if applicable in the system. 4.keep up on new information about the systems or new data for the team.

Surely Proactive Planning is essential in preventing disruptions to operations. I and my team we conduct daily inspections and note down all the maintenance issues found. After inspection, I put the issues into categories: the ones that require immediate action and others that need proper time to fix them. For those that require immediate action, I make sure that they are fixed promptly, and then I and my engineers develop a well detailed plan of when and what shall be addressed by my team. Then, I make sure that all planned activities are executed within allotted time. This plan is based on the monthly budget allocated to maintenance activities, so we make sure that all our activities fall in the budget.

Una manera de contribuir a esta planificación es identificar los cuellos de botella en los procesos. Hay que conocer los puntos críticos que detienen por completo la actividad y los importantes que permiten al proceso continuar aunque sea a coste de una menor velocidad. Al conocer estos puntos débiles es más fácil priorizar las intervenciones y sopesar planes de contingencia para que una avería detenga el proceso productivo el mínimo tiempo posible.

En la labor de vigilancia de los equipos es importante que participen activamente todos los empleados. Cuantos más ojos observen, menor probabilidad de que algo pase desapercibido. Un nuevo ruido, una mancha de aceite en un ambiente limpio, una viruta metálica, o un olor a goma quemada puede ser un aviso de un mal funcionamiento. El equipo de mantenimiento si le llegan estos avisos es capaz de comprobarlos y anticiparse a una avería en mal momento.

Compartir el conocimiento y alimentar una base de información con datos útiles permite resolver en menos tiempo las averías, aprovechar la experiencia de otros compañeros, y fomentar el concepto de equipo de mantenimiento. Es importante documentar las actuaciones y si es necesario generar guías y manuales multimedia para compartir el como se hacen algunas tareas específicas del mantenimiento. La implicación del equipo de mantenimiento en estas tareas será gratificante tanto para quien comparte conocimientos generando el contenido, como para el que recibe y pone en práctica lo aprendido.

Los números no nos dicen nada, pero cuando se transforman en gráficas y se analizan tendencias a lo largo del tiempo, se pueden apreciar degradaciones de elementos de la instalación que a corto plazo son muy difíciles de detectar. Es fácil detectar un pinchazo, pero pasa desapercibido el desgaste por fatiga de los elementos de la suspensión.
