This is a very nuanced challenge which requires sensitivity when handling. What works well for me is briefly referencing this possibility during the initial exchanges. I mention that if any extras come up beyond the contract that involve a cost implication, I will immediately give them a quote so they can structure their new requirements quickly and efficiently. Beyond that, we are always looking at actively making our clients lives easier while on site. Over time, that attitude is what leads to happy clients and repeat bookings.
