Mudanças podem ser benéficas e incertezas estimulantes. O benefício da mudança é que podem haver algumas coisas em seus processos que estavam na hora de serem aperfeiçoadas e a incerteza estimula na procura por maior conhecimento do terreno onde se vai entrar. Pensando em ESG, por exemplo, você pode ter um projeto ambiental espetacular, um outro social magnífico e ambos podem naufragar se a governança do seu barco não tiver um rumo definido e até “cultuado”, de certa forma. A construção desse “G” forte, talvez seja até mais árdua do que o enfrentamento de mudanças e incertezas. Creio que devamos considerar se nossas ações refletem o que escrevemos tanto para mares calmos quanto para borrascas que certamente aparecerão durante essa viagem.

🔵 People involved in the change must be involved in the process from the very start - and that is also helping to define vision and goals. Goals have to be structured in the way that they are clear, disruptive and meaningful to the people achieving them. That way we can ensure team will be committed.

Adopt a learning mindset to reach unprecedented levels of success. Embrace change as a constant, and rebrand uncertainty as possibility. Channel your creativity, experiment with new ideas, and test them out with your audience. Their responses become valuable insights for refining strategies. Many life-changing innovations were developed during times of uncertainty – zoom calls as the norm, remote work opportunities, and streaming platforms, to name a few. Change isn’t just adaptation; it's a catalyst for genuine growth. If you couldn’t fail, what bold ideas would you pursue?

🔵 It is ideal when someone from within the organization also has coaching background and can support employees in this process. However, in case this is not possible, make sure there is an external coach to support the team members in this process. They need to feel safe and supported and this is where any coach, regardless of being internal or external, should adhere to ICF code of ethics.

We're living in a hyper-"VUCA" world wherein things are more "Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous" than ever before. So, in order to face these challenges, the antidote to each of these four factors can be found in its opposite: "Calm, Certain, Simple, and Clear" (or "CCSC"). In other words, if a leader can find a way to help their people to Calm down rather than panic; separate Certainties from uncertainties; Simplify complexity; and see things more Clearly through the fog of ambiguity, they will equip, enable, and empower their people to feel a greater sense of confidence in facing these challenges head-on.

🔵 Navigating change and uncertainty is like having a patient going to the doctor for surgery. You want to explain to them how the whole process will look like, what is coming at what time and also - when is it going to get tough but also when it is going to get better. When people know that, they will feel better.
