There is no correct answer in the sense that a truthful feeling isn't something that should be improved upon in order to be expressed in the first instance. Instead, the fine artist might consider the value of introspection and the exploration of their own fascinations. Where would those lead?

I make historic figures "metaphors" in my articles. They are mostly military figures, like Kings, Emperors, Sultans, but also Presidents or Prime Ministers of our times. I chose the well known world leaders because their legacy are clear and famous. They may have said something under a dire circumstance or done somthing unimaginable. As a result, they have made their mark in the annals of history. As to how to use their name or remarks in the writing, that depends on how one writes. My writing style involves prose. It is also called "expository writing". So these world leaders fit right in. For example, one may have butchered 40 million in his reign. So, he becomes a powerful metaphor for brutality.

I love knowing that each element present in all my photos is a symbol, reinforcing my main objective which is to create consciousness of Earth's beauty so we can protect it more. On the other hand, in contemporary art, these could be innovative but speculative for viewers.

I firmly believe that to create truly original metaphors, one must delve deeply into the nuances of life. It's within these everyday moments and observations that we unearth metaphors brimming with authenticity, mirroring the emotions and musings of many. When you channel such a metaphor, you have the ability to connect on a profound level, sidestepping the usual and expected. If your creation sparks that enlightening "AHA" moment, or creates a smile or a sense of kinship, then you've indeed crafted something special.

For example: I might juxtapose two photographs I've taken, like placing a lush forest next to an area destroyed by illegal mining. When shooting with my analog camera, I find myself forced to plan a photo more than ever. It's mostly due to the cost of the film, its limited availability and the fact that it has to be developed. I was helping a friend to edit her poem book. I suggested a few edits and forwarded back for approval. A few days after, we had a call to discuss the poems. As an editor, I was happy to present my hard work to her. But she caught me by surprise when said. “I don’t want to edit anything from these poems. The mistakes, the errors all these represent the mood, feelings, pain and joy I felt while writing them.” I was taken aback. Never have I ever suggested an edit and presented with such an answer. What I am saying is, sometimes we should appreciate the work of art as is. The errors, the misplaced strokes or shades. All these captures the artist’s emotions and state of mind while at work!

I've always believed that feedback is a double-edged sword. While it can offer valuable insights, it also has the potential to color one's perspective on their own creation. For someone like me, who cherishes the purity of original thought, this can be unsettling. So, tread carefully when seeking opinions, and discern wisely when absorbing the feedback you're given.

The educational process requires unavoidable feedback and revision, which later in a career an artist might miss. A career as a fine artist is possible, but often challenging depending on the artist's personality and their community culture. When an artist feels they can ask for and receive helpful feedback invites a feeling of trust and connection. However, the best feedback, and the most useful, is usually in the form of money paid by appreciative patrons for the artist's work. Especially, patrons who encourage an artist's aesthetic processes.
