So often, finding a niche seems to be about marketing; we're told it will help us sell our services to clients. This hasn't worked for me and I've stayed a generalist for now, as I felt intuitively that I wanted to work with a wide range of clients as I discovering who I am as a coach. I'm enjoying the journey and ideas of a niche are only now starting to form, bringing together aspects of my previous experience and the kinds of people I enjoy working with and feel passionate about. coaching.

Finding your niche can be so easy or nearly impossible depending on how you approach it. If you try to be something you are not just to fit in or go for the cash then you'll struggle to genuinely help others. But, as everyone has mentioned here, if you blend your unique skills and experience with a passion for coaching them, then your niche will find you.

When I was going through training, it was encouraged to ask ourselves about our personal journeys to help discover the niche we would most enjoy and are passionate about. (And help narrow the audience for marketing purposes.) Now that we're on the other side of whatever that journey was, we're much more wise and experienced (and well-trained).

I do believe a niche is important to attract clients, however you can coach many areas in reality. Bottom line though, a good niche is nothing without identifying prospective clients, creating a sales funnel, qualifying the prospects and confirming the sale. If you are not well networked and visible to your prospects a niche is worthless.

En mi posición de liderazgo me dí cuenta de la importancia que tiene el coaching para el desarrollo de las personas. La mayoría de las personas están acostumbradas a que les digan que hacer. Cuando tienen un coach, éste les da un acompañamiento efectivo, las escucha atentamente y les plantea preguntas inteligentes durante las sesiones, las va guiando a clarificar sus objetivos y descubrir nuevas habilidades. Definitivamente el coaching aporta las herramientas necesarias para mejorar tanto en lo personal como en lo profesional.

To help someone discover what they’re good at, start by asking them to reflect on their past achievements and moments when they’ve felt proud of their work. What do people consistently come to them for advice or help with? Encourage them to think about skills or tasks that come naturally and feel effortless. Ask them to consider feedback from colleagues, friends, or mentors—what strengths have others noticed? Lastly, have them explore activities where they feel both challenged and successful. These are the areas where talent meets growth potential. Sometimes, our strengths are right in front of us—we just need a reminder!

I work with people who experience anxiety that is hindering their ability to live the life they want. Often times the reason for the anxiety is due to fear. Helping uncover the fear, acknowledge it is real for them, address what to do, how to do it and how to manage it. Meeting people where they are is very important.

To truly understand what my clients need, I like to dive deep into ideal client interviews. These conversations help me uncover their pain points, desires, and what’s really holding them back. I ask about their biggest challenges, their goals, and what they’ve already tried to improve their situation. It’s about listening carefully to their stories and picking up on patterns. I want to know not just what they think they need, but what will actually make the biggest difference. By asking open-ended questions, staying curious, and tuning into the emotional layers, I can tailor my coaching to truly serve them.

Le but est que notre client de coeur voit notre solution comme celle qui est la meilleure pour lui. Donc connaître les besoins du client, permet de lui apporter une réponse adaptée à sa problématique. N'hésitez pas à poser des questions, faire des enquêtes de terrain ou en ligne, et vous renseigner auprès de votre client potentiel.

Connaître les tendances du marché suppose d'avoir une bonne connaissance de l'environnement dans lequel on souhaite orienter et développer son activité de coaching. Je recommande la méthode SWOT qui est une matrice d'analyse stratégique. De plus avec un SWOT bien fait vous pouvez créer une offre qui vous différencie tout en restant en accord avec les besoins de votre du marché ou de votre client de coeur.

Avoir des objectifs clairement définis permet d'orienter au mieux les diverses actions pertinentes pour avoir une entreprise rentable. Car il faut le dire c'est le but de toute entreprise. Utiliser la méthode SMART pour un objectifs précis. Pour ma part je recommande de clarifier le tout avec la méthode quintilienne Qui Quoi Où Quand Comment Pourquoi Combien ou en anglais le Five W's « cinq W », pour « Who, What, Where, When, Why ? ».

While choosing coaching as a niche,one has to first look for the qualities in successful coach. There is a difference between good & successful coach. Second,we need to ask where do we stand interms of qualities of a successful coach. Do we have those in us? Reason being,the same you are gonna impart to your students,disciples or followers. Third,lead by examples or achievements. People go where there is success & money.

Nos valeurs sont un des fondements de notre entreprise. Identifier ses valeurs, permet de communiquer avec authenticité et d'attirer à soi des clients qui ont les mêmes valeurs ou similaires et de créer un vrai match entre coach et coaché. Je recommande de prendre le temps de faire un exercice simple qui consiste à faire une liste des choses qu'on aime dans chaque sphère de nos vies et voir si nos véritables valeurs ne s'y cachent pas.

Are there unconventional combinations of skills or expertise you possess? Blend seemingly unrelated fields to create a coaching niche that offers a fresh perspective. What cultural or societal shifts are happening? Explore how changing values, beliefs, or demographics might create new coaching opportunities. Is there a particular niche within a niche that hasn't been tapped into? For example, within health coaching, there might be a unique approach for a specific demographic like shift workers. Can you innovate within an existing niche? Consider ways to disrupt or enhance existing coaching models with a novel approach. Are there unmet needs in non-traditional settings? Consider areas like coaching within specific virtual communities.

Le marché, les valeurs, nos talents, tout cela est très bien, mais c'est selon moi oublier une chose essentielle : que suis-je en mesure de coacher? Un coach qui se dit en mesure de tout coacher se ment au minimum à lui-même. Il est dit qu'on ne peut accompagner quelqu'un que là où l'on est déjà allé soi-même et c'est un point majeur de réflexion préparatoire. Poser en préambule pour soi-même qu'il est important d'accepter que peut-être, il faudra refuser d'accompagner un client, et que c'est ok (j'irais même jusqu'à dire souhaitable)!
