To understand risk as it relates to failure, we must first understand what failure in business means. A steady lack of profitability will lead to the demise of any business. There are two ways to mitigate this risk: 1) Make more money 2) Reduce expenses/overhead My personal preference is to keep my overhead as low as possible, and only spend money when I can see a direct path to increasing revenue in an amount that's greater than the amount being spent. When starting a construction business, this can mean storing tools at home instead of renting additional space, doing work yourself instead of hiring out, or getting by with cheap/old but reliable vehicles/tools.

Grading of risks and mitigation measures with necessary course corrections have to be figured out 5. Identify your weaknesses which led to the failure 6. Fear of failure is because of poor preparation forced by the uncertainties of the contract. Construction Professional fails mainly because of 1. Proper Resources at right time 2. Poor funds flow. 3. Wrong understanding of construction geography 4. Geo political conditions 5. Construction interfaces If more clarity is there, less fear of failure
