In my understanding, if your enterprise software team is experiencing low morale, it’s crucial to address the issue promptly to prevent further negative impacts on productivity and team cohesion. Initiate an open forum where team members feel comfortable expressing their concerns and frustrations. Try to work with your team to identify the underlying reasons for the low morale. Kick off some team building activities, empower your team by involving them in decision-making processes, encourage & support a healthy work-life balance among members and create a positive work environment, you can help your enterprise software team regain motivation, productivity, and job satisfaction.

An Enterprise software team isn't different than most other teams. If there is poor morale then there is almost certainly a deeper reason behind it. If you want to fix it then you need to listen and figure out what is behind the low morale. Is it due to something going on with the software? Lack of training and confidence in the job? Inter personal relationships? Once you know what is going on then you can resolve it by working to improve the culture and root cause of the unhappiness

People often undervalue empowerment, people need to know that they can change their situation. If a team is forced to use a process they disagree with, you should work with them so that they are able to make the changes they need or to appreciate the need for the new process. Lack of power leads to lack of trust which leads to low morale. You can't just say people are empowered; you need to actually allow them to make the changes they see are necessary.

When you leader a team the most important skill is 'communication'. Your team are experienced 'low moral'? 1st and most important question: why? Go to the root of the problem until obtaining the right answer. 'Talk with them and be creative!' Organize a meeting in a different place, brake the routine! and make them feel that their feelings and work is important for you. Give to each the opportunity to explain in public or private what is happening and how to solve it together. Then, implement all the needed changes to improve the situation. 😉

Es importante contar con una visión clara de desarrollo desde el área TIC, no solo en cuestión de desarrollos sino en conocimiento de la empresa, la comunicación e integración con otras áreas es muy importante. Muchas veces ls equipos caen en monotonia de desarrollos sin sentido cumpliendo con lo urgente, lo cual tambien desgasta el equipo, a veces esta no comunicacion o interrelación lleva a generar el mismo desarrollo para áreas diferentes, tiempo en que el equipo oudo ser mucho más productivo.
