I design hospital, on understanding some basic parameters, through my experience of 24 years of hospital operation. Keeping roll of infection control, the requirements of different department on operational easiness, and optimising the operational cost. The manpower requirements, Registrar, RMO, Nursing, Technician, engineering, GDA, House Keeping and security. As per the hospital type, and department has a ratio. Design the profit and loss of the hospital as per ARPOV, ALOS, and ARPP, taking into consideration of the social economical and clinical requirements of the area. Resource requirements and Government health policy taking into consideration the health scheme. I can desigine ratio modules, with clinical knowledge.

In my experience AI allows for more comprehensive clinical summaries in a fraction of the time it takes to do the same process manually. Given that we are still in the infancy of using this technology, I look forward to what else can be done. For now, I appreciate AI for efficiently completing low value work and allowing me more time to take care of patients and myself.

AI can be a powerful tool. Currently I've used AI to write and amend processes, write marketing copy, write reports and valuable patient information. Specific to Physical Therapy, I've seen the power of AI in managing large sets of data - whether it be for chart and documentation audits or analyzing compliance in codes. It seems AI - when used in the right context - can 10x production.

The single most important aspect of Ai is to enable the physician in establishing a correlation of vast amount of seemingly disparate pieces of data and arrive at a conclusion that is difficult at best or impossible for the human brain to do . In the end however one has to decide what pieces of data to include in the relationship . The latter can only be done by acquiring the pieces of information that may have a bearing on the conclusion , without necessarily knowing the impact of each piece or the degree of potential impact . In other words Ai is not a substitute for the human brain but makes it easier to do the “math” .

In the clinical practice Ai could help in different areas, from the collecting of data and processing and interpretation of the statistics, given us a heads up of what it is expected and how a desease develops, even a timely diagnosis for a proper treatment. The EHRs has been the answer, that contributes in the continuous process and understanding of the patient medical record and present condition, reducing medical errors, duplication of test and improvement of accuracy. The proper training in the field should be considered for the undergraduate and for future generations.

AI will change the medicine. From my point of view as a physician there is a lot of task to reach the goal. Not everyone think so, unfortunately.

AI can help doctors to examine patient data to figure out what is wrong, and it can also assist in finding the best treatment for each patient

Population health has lots of rules. Heidis measures, patients needing follow up visits. The more we have clear rules the more AI can search data to help Population health teams and engage patients. How many times does a patient schedule their next appointment, cancel and say I'll get back to you on a new appointment. But do they? Often times no and especially if they have chronic conditions we can't afford to lose them. AI can find this data and we can then outreach

To be useful and patients to increase their engagement AI would need to help to adjust and tailor hospital services to patients needs as well. There are clinics understaffed with small number of doctors and nurses in comparison with the number of patients for each session review. Helping the HR department to fill the shifts with appropriate number of qualified staff will be a place where AI could help and patient satisfaction and engagement will increase.

Physician can't be all the time present to ensure if patient care is been taken up to the mark. Hence introducing such technologies that would assist patients in reminding their appoints, their medication time, their do's and don'ts would be beneficial for a physician to reduce gap with the patients. An automated analyzing and answering machine would be great when a patient would have questions regarding their symptoms or medication.

However its use must be which is consistent with existing laws for example the EU Data Act 2024, and UK GDPR etc. To support this there needs to be a globally accepted and adopted framework of standards and principles on how AI should be applied and used.
