If you experience your truth with dysregulation (e.g., anxiety, stuckness, anger) that doesn’t seem to match the circumstances, then it’s likely that truth is not coming from your Authentic Self, but from a part that’s carrying past experiences. If you feel regulated and present, and any discomfort feels normal and tolerable, then the truth you’re experiencing is likely coming from your Authentic Self.

Intuition is influenced by emotions, biases, and past experiences, which can sometimes lead to impulsive or shortsighted decisions. Overreliance on gut feelings may cause you to overlook critical data or ignore rational analysis. From my experience, recognizing the limitations of intuition is crucial. It’s important to be aware of cognitive biases, such as confirmation bias, which might skew your perception and decision-making process.

Intuition in decision-making can be recognized which in turn helps one to mitigate intuition pitfalls. As a leader, a balanced gut feelings with data and evidence help make informed decisions. Importante não agir por impulso e pensar no futuro também. Um exemplo que falo aos meus clientes é que não podemos agir por impulso e por ansiedade, temos que pensar no futuro também, se candidatar em vagas que não é o que buscamos e que não condiz com nosso perfil só pra trabalhar e ganhar dinheiro? Mas e se passando um mês você não gosta e não quer mais a oportunidade? A empresa não te dá mais oportunidades e você volta ao zero. Por isso é preciso já pensar como será o futuro com a oportunidade x, com a carreira, seguir um foco e um propósito.

While intuition can often lead us in the right direction (and by often I mean usually!) it’s important to consider the “what ifs”. What if my boss leaves? What if I move homes? What if they pay cut isn’t what I expected? What if my priorities change? These what ifs matter because they speak to our safety net and our comfort zone. So, while listening to your gut is a must so is considering more than what is immediately in front of you. Thinking about risks and what ifs and getting feedback on your thought process around these is a must.
