Write down what impacted you the most about the interaction with your potential employer and what excites you the most about the problems you will have to solve. 2. The most basic way to alleviate any anxiety is to explicitely ask the interviewer &/or recruiter what next steps are, what the process looks like and the corresponding timeline.... and them hold them to it. Don't follow up non stop & be a bother, but a well timed follow-up "You mentioned you would have decisions made today, has there been any progress" shows you are listening, diligent about deadlines and reliable.

Unless it is a corporate or networking page on Facebook, I would shy away from following a recruiter or hiring manager on their personal Facebook page! There can be a generational divide on this topic, most GenX/GenY managers would prefer to keep their Facebook presence for friends & family.

Connecting with the interviewer, manager, or technical expert on LinkedIn. Asking an extra question you forgot during the interview, thanking them for the conversation, and showing your loyalty to the company. Doing this will boost your chances as a job applicant!
