Temporary roads going to excavation area must be well graded/maintained during excavation. If, possible keep two types of road separate & traffic flow should move only in one direction with entry/exit at different end,1. For equipment movement 2. For light vehicle movement and keep away from type 1. road. Both sides of road must have caution tapes tied-up with movable reflective cons to indicate movement widths. Place all - âš ï¸ Warning/Cautionary signs for guide/awareness. Barricade entire excavation/excavated area/zone peripherally with caution tapes atleast 2 to 5 meters away from start of excavation. Use Amber/Red warning lights, wherever it's required. All equipment operators must have a valid license to operate equipment in possession.

One of the best approach could be to design TMP which would completely avoid the excavation work zone. IF that is achieved particularly for Deep excavation of Sewer Lines, Micro Tunnels etc. helps lot to mitigate risk. Also results in higher outputs frm Contractor. Working with live traffic always have high safety concerns.
