If your goal is to test the usability, most often than not feedbacks are given for the sake of completing the activity. One of the best approaches according to me is - do not present a questionnaire before the letting them experience the product and do not also brief them on how to use. Just go to the target users and share some top tasks the user/persona must be interested in. Let them figure out by themselves to see how quickly or effectively they managed to complete the tasks. If your product is still in development stage, you can conduct this on un-integrated UI to save some development efforts, or maybe on prototypes depending on the development stage you are in.

This illustrates the same principle as being careful with feedback. It is important to mix methods of capturing feedback to provide a comprehensive perspective. The best feedback isn't asking your close circle what they think of giving them a survey. It is scrutinizing every step of the user journey at scale to understand their behaviors in relation to specific pain-points your product is aiming to solve. Stay open and humble to avoid confirmation bias. The goal is not being right, the goal is to have a product loved by everybody in a huge market segment.

Go out in the market to validate your assumptions by receiving feedback, -re-iterate based on that feedback and find a better way of improving the product.

Beta testers and early-adopters are among the most important people at any commercial venture. They are the key to product-market-fit. Make it easy for them to provide feedback (and treat it as a precious gift) then make small changes to tailor to those use cases that are repeated the most in your sample and remove any frictions. Validate these small changes with A/B tests and keep iterating until your product is being used in the same way among a few use cases, that's the PMF. Think of it like using whatsapp. While the purpose of the messaging may vary, we all use it pretty much the same way.

If your target audience is non-technical users, feedback from someone else in the tech industry may not be helpful for getting product market fit. Ensure that the beta tester fits the demographic you're targeting and is actively struggling with the problem you're working to solve before putting their feedback on your roadmap.
