The best way to succeed at an internship project is to spend a large chunk of your first few days either understanding the objectives of your project. I would have these objectives given in a written form and Iâ€™d spend a significant amount of time trying to break down and understand every word in it. You could even rewrite it breaking it down in to sub-objectives and iterate it with your mentor. If no written objectives are drawn out as yet Iâ€™d spend a lot of this time learning the iterative process of defining objectives for a biotech project.
