If you haven’t heard of or read “The Spielberg Clause.” Then I highly recommend you research it immediately. It’s a permanent clause that I use with every client project. When I’ve worked with clients to create “their vision” I make sure they understand that we aren’t making a video that appeals to them. We’re making a video that will appeal to their audience. We make sure we are discussing their goals and showcasing the CTA’s or Objective in the videos, however what they might like as the video may not be correct for the audience. It is crucial that you also have knowledge of their: - Industry Trends - Audience - Viral Video Content in that industry - Actionable Data from other successful video campaigns. In order to embark on a great video project mainly keep the client's vision alive but at the same time understand the audience that they aim and the objectives of each video material. At the same time, use adn add your own approach , your own techniques that add quality!

Understand their goals and objectives so you can better align your artistic vision with their needs. Educate the client about your creative process and the reasoning behind your artistic choices. Help them see how your expertise and creativity can enhance the project while still staying true to their vision.

Client satisfaction is paramount in video editing. While staying updated on trends is essential, it's equally important to understand and respect a client's unique vision. Effective communication is key to bridging any gap between the client's expectations and current industry standards. In situations where a client's preferences differ significantly from popular trends, the focus should be on delivering a high-quality product that aligns precisely with their requirements.

Balancing artistic integrity with client preferences is an art in itself. I focus on aligning our vision with the client’s goals through continuous, transparent communication and aesthetic marketing research. By presenting ideas before final approval, I ensure the client understands and is involved in the creative process, allowing us to craft content that resonates with both their tastes and what effectively works for the brand. This approach not only maximizes project outcomes but also fosters strong professional relationships built on trust and collaboration.

After carefully paying attention to the customer's needs, the use of modern techniques and attention to technical details and of course creativity and attention to aesthetic points are the guarantee of the functional design of the project.

Every project of mine is always looks like mine because I got some freedom by clients. Artistic voice is your experience, perspective and imagination. Your are providing further depth and insight into a requirement. Do not fear to boldly describe your interpretation, improvements or concerns.

Art is always about experimenting. I was watching one podcast of Mr. Beast new editor Hillier Smith, How he started working with him. In one of videos, He said that I edited Intro Mr. Beast said- "I don't want this make it this way." He said- "But It's look unique and audience will blow up." Mr. Beast reply- "So make it this much it will work perfect." At that time he did it but he feel lost but after release of video people love that part. At last he said Mr. beast know his better than him and if he said that to me it will something which good for the video. So sometimes compromise make your product bit ahead of time. How? Compromising is something that it is important and actually this is how it goes. Without it , possibly it would be difficult to communicate with any client. Compromising and experimenting with different edits until one satisfies all of you is the key!

Seek feedback and input from the client throughout the project. Regular check-ins and reviews can help ensure that you are meeting their expectations while still maintaining the integrity of your artistic vision.

"Loop is everywhere, If you are capable of then it will work in your fever." Feedback is the steps in which the video got refine but In some case feedback goes in loop. It will make you quit the project if you are not good lister and good knowledge towards you art. If you worked on something which is good according to you then something is really off because Your art makes your client and people think about you and give you a part of his body. I used to do coding, In that there is one concept of loop. It will make your steps and time short with some logic expression you put. How? Dm me!

- Feedback is ok, so do not get irritated easily! - Feedback can be useful in order to develop, check mistakes and teach you better ways to make a video. - Do not overdo it with changes though cause then artistic integrity will be easily lost. If in your opinion something is a mistake, mention it even if the client rejects it in the end.

"Final Edit is the process of changes." (Sometimes!) I did 7 changes in one reel for when I started freelancing. In that process I learnt that work can be complete if you used to listen. Working on my skills makes my project complete in very less time compare to my first year. Final Edit is just a myth because sometime 2 to 3 change is make your video great. I also did some project which has 0 changes.

Every project has two face: 1 - Owner 2 - Worker In video, Client has idea and you got balls(Skills) to complete that. If both the thing blend with each other perfectly then product will shine. eg. In my opinion you have to ascertain why the client has hired you specifically in order to properly develop a compatible relationship. If the client has only hired you because you are the cheapest or only option they had available then they will lack any respect for your art and will overwhelm you with unnecessary work. In this scenario it’s always best to decline the job because there can be no development without mutual respect. If however the client has seen/is familiar with your work and went with you because they like what you do, then you have room to build a valuable work environment where you listen to the client’s story and work as a director to develop that story, bringing your artistic vision into play to help serve the story.
