Not only does this build trust with stakeholders, having this transparency means the prioritisation exercise is easily repeatable and incremental improvements can be delivered. For example, you may start prioritising tasks based on cost and time because those are the only things known. As you develop maturity in estimation, you may find that there are other factors affecting the complexity of tasks that should be factored in when prioritising. It’s easier to add other dimensions in later if you’ve been clear about the criteria from the start. Otherwise you run the risk of one person/groups subjective opinion dictating which tasks come first.

Determine how frequently you’ll need to touch base and whether a war room is necessary for rapid coordination. The plan must ensure clarity, speed, and alignment among all involved parties, preventing miscommunication and facilitating swift, informed decision-making during high-pressure situations.
