The only one I have played with is this occulus quest 2. Similarly to learning how to use a tablet, it has its challenges and the biggest challenge (once learning all the skills). Is applying to a workflow consistently long enough to then retain that skillset. One great aspect has been rendering and teleporting a client into an augmented world to see their products before any physical work

These things have a long way to go before they are used in an Industrial Design department for anything other than presentation/meetings. In fields like graphic designs/architecture/environmental design their value may be higher. Industrial Designers create PHYSICAL products which require PHYSICAL prototypes; everything else in the design process works quite well with CPU/Screens/3d Printers. We already force people to work in cubes; now you want them to have a helmet on their head for 8 hours… As an Industrial Designer, I would not currently advise this for typical workflows and office efficiency.

I have tried Oculus Quest and its pretty cool except the fact that it cant be used beyond couple of hours. I hear the Vision pro is better but still nit there. i am waiting for an upgraded updated version of Google Glass where the wearable load is minimal like a goggle and battery can be in your pocket. That would be the future I believe!

We have tried this in my previous company and it works like magic. People from various parts of the world can stand in a common environment next to the motorcycle and discuss among each other. The decision making can be very fast with this collaborative approach!

Future is looking very exciting with the new innovations in AR/VR and AI. The combination of these 2 will make the experience more seamless and convenient.

Fore-seeing a full time working with AR-VR headset might seem possible just like Real Player One. But our health is equally important, unless the lighting technology has matured and reached a stage they could have filtered out the amount of the blue rays and other harmful rays before entering our eyes. Otherwise, I don't think I want to risk my eyesight for it and the headset is an add-on weight on my head unless they can make it super minimal in size, super light-weight and frameless. Well, that seems very possible, also Eye Doctor will have a lot of clients like me, having eyesight problems.
