You have to be ready to not have as many people coming to your programs. But the ones who do come will really need and value your time. A public librarian needs to aim for the right reading level and usage, a process of constant weeding, organization, and purchasing to fill a very limited space with items that are useful and used by someone every year.

Igualmente, y siguiendo muchos de los principios de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio (ODS), debe participar en programas de cooperación, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, que ayuden a empoderar comunidades en desarrollo.

Que ese espacio también sea ideal para interactuar con profesionales ya que la mayoría de usuarios que entran en la biblioteca académica como pública buscan definiciones y ejemplos pero también conocer métodos para emplear o hacer encajar los ejemplos o información y recordando que el usuario académico está conociendo de algo al igual que el que solo busca porque quiere conocer o libremente tienen en común el conocimiento y el conocer a otros profesionales de la materia.
