I belive the most easy way is to go traditional brain stromming with open white board. There many more conceptual templates available in software tools like Whiteboard, well it also add benifit in digital session for international projects. Some suggestion outside traditional methods: - Opportunity, Effective and Improve - To Do, To Stop, To Reduce and To Improve

Good rule is to ask managers to stay silent, and do not comment in any negative way to the retro contributions from the team. Ideally everyone expressing opinion about the project should be cheered. Second is to de-personalise the feedback as much as possible. When the topic is turning into personal "blame"park it aside for separate assessment and move on with the things that are not focused on specific persons.
