There are many reasons why projects fail that may not have anything to do with the design generated by the Architectural design team. As Architects, we all have great stories about amazing projects we've designed that died because of financial forces or even political dynamics that were out or our control. This does not negate the fact that we designed an amazing project, and we can definitely use that design work in successful marketing efforts that speak to our overall design capabilities. I recommend that my fellow Architects work to continually increase their marketing efforts in as many relevant venues as possible to increase our exposure in the marketplace as we continue to educate the public about the great value of our profession.
