1 Choose the right zoetrope

You also need to consider the number of frames, the spacing, and the timing of your animation. A typical zoetrope has 12 to 24 frames per revolution, so you need to divide your circle accordingly. 3 Draw your frames

5 Spin and watch your animation

Now you are ready to spin and watch your animation come to life. You can use your hand or a motor to rotate your zoetrope, and adjust the speed and the direction as you like. You can also use a strobe light or a flickering lamp to enhance the effect of your animation, and sync it with the rotation of your zoetrope. To see your animation clearly, you need to look through the viewing windows, and focus on one frame at a time.

6 Experiment and have fun
