Also strategic partnerships are critical to obtain access to right resources and at the same time one can maintain a thorough project plan to maitain strong pipeline. One also needs to maintain balance between long term research with near term objective for revenue generation. Also such startup needs to continously be vigilant on regulatory changes to avoid operational delays and costs. Also such startups can leverage cutting edge AI technologies to drive both innovation and efficiencies and also maintain lean operations and non dilutive funding.

Working in a fast-paced biotech startup would mean the tech/problem space you are working on is very niche. It is crucial to have a cross-functional team (Tech, operations, and commercial) so these specialists could focus on their domain to help the overall team to bring the product to market as soon as possible. Resource allocation would also be an integral skill to have- deciding when to invest in the part of the startup that will bring in the highest impact for a certain point in time. Management should review resource allocation from time to time ensure the company is moving in the right direction.

When it comes to innovation and being efficient, we need to be careful not to stop doing things (like security or compliance) just because they are inconvenient or take time. Over the past few months, I've been shocked at the number of startups building products and collecting data without understanding the basics of privacy and data protection. Aside from causing legal problems later, getting the hygiene wrong will discourage potential investors (what investor want's to buy a potential law suit?). Innovation and efficiency yes, but not at the expense of other non-negotiables.
