Use code coverage tools like SonarQube or SpecFlow to ensure tests touch all relevant parts of the system. But it's not just about numbers. Look at feature coverage—are you testing all the behaviors users care about? Check for clarity and readability—can someone non-technical understand the test cases? Finally, analyze test effectiveness by tracking which scenarios catch real issues, ensuring your tests are meaningful, not just plentiful.

In BDD tests, checking if you've covered everything is key. This includes making sure you've got tests for all features (requirement coverage), checking if your tests really cover what they need to (scenario coverage), and making sure there's no part of the code left untested (code coverage). These steps help make sure your software is tested from all angles. But remember, it's better to have a few good tests than lots of shallow ones. Keeping these measures in balance helps make your software stronger and catches problems early.

One must create logically unrelated and independent test suites while making sure not break the code in unrealistically small pieces. Then implementing tests for both positive and negative scenarios, success and error scenarios and using least amount of mocking can ensure a healthy amount of code coverage.

Often developers write tests which although cover the code but don't really test the code. This happens in cases where the tests use a lot of mocking of actual functions and files used. This way the real functional piece of code never gets tested, it was just a reference being used which got the code covered.

BDD is *NOT* a testing approach… It is a collaborative method that generates a shared understanding among the team about the features to build by illustrating them with examples. Example Mapping sessions are way more important that the tests you end up writing or the tools you use to do it. By the way, Dan North (the inventor of BDD) is living and kicking, and is active here on LinkedIn. Why not asking him directly, or at least seeing one of his talks on YouTube to understand what is BDD instead of throwing useless articles with no value?

Always writing tests for small chunks of code will sometimes fail to detect issues with code. When covering tests in small chunks, only gets it validated independently. Whereas our code is meant to run all together. Integrated tests if not written will never detect possible errors. Thus one must implement tests keeping logical amount of code together.
