Not only the benefits, but the urgency of green bonds should be our motto. Beyond the widely proven benefits of the creation of green jobs, is crucial to understand the importance and key role that green jobs have in decarbonising the global economy.

This is a sad true. Several green jobs are totally depending on external financing sources or external stakeholders, which can definitely jeopardise the role of the same in the sustainability market. In my opinion, is key to apply common sense and the ”do not significant harm principle“ (I refer to the EU Taxonomy) when reviewing the impact of green jobs.

I definitely agree with this recommendations. It is regrettable that there is not an international green job standard in place, however, the PA, the EU Taxonomy and the UN SDGs offer a comprehensive guideline to align with.

Without entering into detailed explanations, a good green job example is any job that integrates ESG factors in a holistic way, contributing positively to each of these aspects without damaging the other, and overall, supports the decarbonisation of the economy.

The future is green. The evolution to an ecological/environment-centric society should be the ultimate socio-economical goal.
