Yes, there are numerous stacks available on the marketplace, all created by different companies.
WordPress 5.4.2 was just released 2 days ago so it will take time for companies to update the GCP Marketplace which WordPress has no control over. That is why I suggested using a current deployment stack and then updating WordPress from the admin dashboard. As soon as you login it will let you know there is an update available and ask if you want to install it. Otherwise you will need to wait for 5.4.2 to become available on GCP Marketplace.
The only official WordPress image in the GCP Marketplace is the Bitnami image (certified by Automattic).
I would suggest installing one of the Bitnami images (Nginx. Apache, Multisite, or Multi-tier) depending on your needs and just updating WordPress from within your WordPress dashboard.
Bitnami should update the image soon. Hope this helps 🙂

In reply to: How to reduce the space between Logo and Header contentTry adding this to your custom CSS:
.main-banner { background-size: cover; display: block; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 25px 0; text-align: center; width: 100%; }
The line
padding: 25px 0;
is what is determining the space. I set it to 25px but you can change that to whatever works for you. This may not apply to mobile devices, so be sure to check on other devices after you make these changes 🙂Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to create private pages with the same urlThe only plugin I found that does this is “WP Private Content Plus” but it has many problems, are there any others?
That plugin seems to have decent reviews. Maybe you should contact the author via their support forum if you are experiencing issues since it seems to be a good solution for you.
I took a look at your site and believe the issue is related to your theme.
Because you are using a commercial theme you should contact your theme’s author for support here.

In reply to: Back and re-installThat’s what i was thinking, when i install a theme on a test site the home page
Been there…
Sometimes using a new theme, especially if it’s not by an author you are familiar with, can be like learning how to use the WordPress admin again.
Sometimes you can import demos and assign all the data to a temp author to make it easy to delete the demo data after getting your site setup the way you like simply by deleting the temp author and choosing to delete the posts created by the temp author as well 🙂

In reply to: Back and re-installAnother option may be to setup a temporary test site and experiment with the new theme and demo content until you are comfortable with the new theme.
But yes, sometimes backing up posts, etc and starting fresh may be the best route 🙂

In reply to: Child theme does not take info from parent themeIs it good practice to copy all the php / css files of the parent theme and include them in the child-theme?
NO. This is not how child themes work. You only include files you want to modify but start with just the required style.css file.
1. I have created the file style.css with the necessary requirements (field “Template” = name of the parent theme and others).
Template name should be the EXACT name of the FOLDER (including proper capitalization) that the parent theme resides not the name of the theme.
Try that, and let us know how you make out 🙂
