• Strange as I was able to correct this in one instance, but I can no longer get it working.

I host several blogs, and in upgrading the first, I followed the directions to the letter, but after upgrading my menu items are gone (http://junkylife.com/junky/wp-content/nomenu.jpg)

I’ve gone back, restored my backup, checked to make sure that ALL plugins are deactivated, then I removed all the old WP files, recopied, etc.

I was able to get it working one time on one blog, but now any other blog I try to upgrade ends up without a menu.

My server is also local, so no FTP. It doesn’t seem to matter whether or not my database is multi-prefixed or not. I’m on a Windows box. WP1.5 has been running for months just fine…..

Help is, of course, much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I should note that I’ve tried this in both IE and Firefox after clearing my cache – same results.

Trying to head to a direct link takes me a page which says:
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Here’s an observation. On the blog that I had working, clicking ‘My Account’ shows that the drop-down where one would select their publicly displayed name is not specified. I stumbled on to this when noticing that I was “Logged in as, ” (no one.)

After selecting my display name, things appear to be working correctly, however how can I get to this point on the broken blog without access to the menu?

I’m not sure why this had a difference, but it seems that if I first go in through my phpmyadmin and optimize my tables, the upgrade appears to work.

Does this even make sense? Could my blog have bigger problems?
