Hello, my name is WebGuru. I’m having a problem with the table of contents on my blogs with the anchor links going to the wrong sections on my articles. I tried another table of contents block on my articles but the same thing. Any solution to this would be appreciated.

are you using a plugin to create the table of contents? if yes, which plugin is being used?

Rank Math & Gutenberg. Its a block.

I did a few experiements in a fresh test installation with twenty twenty three theme vs. astra theme + activate Gutenberg plugin to get a table of contents block. (NOTE: I am not sure if I have the same settings as you are using for Astra. I did not install Rank Math)

Since your anchor IDs are correct for table of contents and headings – maybe the active theme is impacting the situation.

Try this: install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme  might help narrow down the source of the issue  https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

Hmmm, I seem to have found the problem. It’s the Astra theme. How can I fix the theme for the table of contents to work properly or do I have to remove the theme completely?
