WooCommerce iDeal: cannot select banks. So then I deactivated everything from woocommerce (woocommerce, woocommerce payment and woocommerce shipping & tax) and then enabled it again. And now all of Woocommerce no longer works at all and I get the following message when I want to open https://dehoningpot.info/winkel. A critical error has occurred on this site. Fortunately, I can still access the dashboard, but where can I see what causes the error message? Because Querymonitor no longer displays logs. The following plugin was updated on December 1:

    • WooCommerce Shipping & Tax (from version 2.4.1 to 2.4.2)
Who can help me and how do I solve this?

    Hi @sramselaar

It sounds like you’re experiencing a critical error on your site after attempting to troubleshoot an issue.

A “critical error” message usually indicates a PHP error or a conflict between your theme or plugins. Since you’ve mentioned that the Query Monitor is no longer displaying logs, you might not be able to pinpoint the exact cause from the dashboard.

However, you can try the following steps to identify and resolve the issue:

    1. You can enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG in your wp-config.php file. This will create a debug.log file in your wp-content directory capturing any WordPress-related errors.
    2. Since the error occurred after you updated a plugin on December 1, there’s a chance that this plugin is causing the issue. Try deactivating this plugin and see if the error persists. If the error disappears, then this plugin is likely the cause.
    3. If the plugin test doesn’t resolve the issue, try switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty-One. If this resolves the issue, then the problem lies with your current theme.
    4. If none of the above steps work, try reinstalling WooCommerce. Please ensure you have a complete backup of your site before doing this.

I tried al those things. and now I see inside the dasboard:

Deprecated: strpos(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($haystack) of type string is deprecated in /var/www/clients/client1/web5/web/wp-includes/functions.php on line 7241

Deprecated: str_replace(): Passing null to parameter #3 ($subject) of type array|string is deprecated in /var/www/clients/client1/web5/web/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2187

    And when I open

Warning: Undefined array key “options” in /var/www/clients/client1/web5/web/wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/modules/theme-builder/widgets/site-logo.php on line 192

So I hope you can help me?

    Hi @sramselaar

Warning: Undefined array key “options” in /var/www/clients/client1/web5/web/wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/modules/theme-builder/widgets/site-logo.php on line 192

The warning message points to the Elementor Pro plugin which is a third-party plugin that we don’t provide support for based on our Support Policy. I recommend that you reach out to the developers of the plugin for further assistance. They will be better equipped to help you resolve any issues you’re experiencing with the plugin.

Meanwhile, checking your site https://dehoningpot.info/winkel/, I am not seeing the critical error message on my end:

So I activated codesigner and there are no more warnings, but I can still not cannot select a bank.

    What now?

    Hey @sramselaar,

Checking your site, I am experiencing an endless load, resulting in me being unable to test much on my end:

Is this the same issue you are seeing on your end, and are referring to when stating that you are unable to select a bank?

If not, can you please share a screenshot of what you are currently seeing so that we can better understand.

Snipboard.io can be used for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.

Additionally, can you please can you share the following with us here:

    • System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Download for Support. This will download a TXT file that has the contents of the SSR which you can then share with us here.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

    Cheers!

When I click on Ideal no banks icons to click on and I did not select creditcard to be visible as a payment. I do not know why it is there.

    Hi @sramselaar

Thanks for providing the screenshot, this is helpful! 🙂

Same as @beautyofcode, I am also receiving the same endless spinner on your site’s checkout page. However, after inspecting, I can verify that you are using WooPayments iDEAL here, correct?

It looks like a third-party plugin or your theme might be causing the conflict here.

For us to investigate this further, can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce and WooPayments plugins are enabled and see if this works?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Or, if you’d like someone else to do this work for you, our trusted partner, Codeable, has an offering where they will run this test for $150 USD. If there is time left, they will also fix the problems they found.

Recapitulate. With another website, woocommerce payment could no longer only choose Ideal (NL) and I found a plugin for stripe from the maker: checkout plugins. That worked perfectly.
At the website where the error was now, some time ago I could only choose IDEAL. With this error I noticed that people could now choose a credit card, while I had not enabled it. And saw that whichever credit card or ideal you chose, both remained gray. So I looked at how I had done that on that other website. Used the same plugin and disabled woopayments.
AND NOW IT DOES WORK. It’s cool that I finally solved it myself. Strange that woocommerce hasn’t had more questions about this.
But it’s resolved now. Thank you.

    Hi there @sramselaar 👋

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

That’s great to hear! Thanks for letting us know you were able to sort this out by copying over the settings, and plugin utilized, from a site known to work well.

Just to be sure, you are reporting that the issue was with iDEAL whilst WooPayments was active, or otherwise? I’d like to fully understand this.

We’re happy to help, so please feel free to reach out to us again if you have any other questions.
