Use the tag <%itemnumber%> into the email content. That tag will be replaced by the unique submission item number.

If you want send the submission IDs to the users in the notification emails, the special tag: <%itemnumber%> should be inserted in the “Messages” attributes in the form’s settings. However, for exporting the submissions’ ids in the CSV files (generated when is pressed the “Export to CSV” button in the messages section associated to the form), you don’t need to do anything, because the submissions’ ids are included by default in the files, specifically in the “Submission ID” column.

ahh – right. but I need to change the name of that column to “customer id” and it needs to be the last column (this is for banking ach rules).

These are my form column headers when I export report:
Form,Time,Email Address,First Name,Last Name,Telephone,Address,City,State,Zip,Date,Account Type,Name on Account,Bank Name,Account Number,Routing Number,Bank City/State,Amount

I uploaded this new version of Contact Form Email 1.1.83 in order to take advantage of the recently added “ID” field, and it was working great until this morning when all fields were deleted. I had previously purchased the Pro Version in order to take advantage of add-ons like date and radio buttons. Can you email me Pro Version that adds this “ID” field functionality?

Appeared to be a plugin conflict with Google XML Sitemap Generator and/or Contact Form 7- in case this helps anyone else…

In cases of plugin conflicts (usually a conflict with the jQuery version used by a third party plugin) try changing the “script load method” to “Direct” in the troubleshoot area of the plugin (located below the list of items in the plugin settings).
