Is it possible to change a page title without changing the menu Navigation Label that links to that page? I know you can change the menu Navigation Label after you change the page title, but then you have to remember to change the menu Navigation Label again if you change the page title. Also, I know you can create a custom link for the page in the menu, but then that link will not change when you change the URL for the page (although it will still redirect to it).
If you specify a custom label to start with that’s not the same as current title (shown as Original: in the menu UI), the custom label will be retained when you change post titles.
Menu items are filterable, so in theory label behavior can be anything that’s feasible to code with PHP, if one is willing to custom code a solution.
