I used the “wp offload media plugin” to move my WordPress media files over to DigitalOcean Spaces. The plugin is doing its job well.

However, when I attempted to use the Google Web Stories plugin to create some web stories, I ran into a problem. In the media section of the Google Web Story, the media files wouldn’t load. Instead, a message popped up saying “unable to load media.” Google provided a link explaining how to fix this issue.

I read the article and did some research, and it seems the problem is related to CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing). I followed Google’s instructions to fix it, but it didn’t work.

Since nothing seemed to solve the issue and the media wouldn’t load inside the Google Web Story plugin, I found a Chrome extension called “Allow CORS.” When I enabled it and refreshed the web story creation page, the media started showing up.

However, other features of the Google Web Story plugin started acting strangely, like templates not loading.

I tried everything to fix it, but I couldn’t find a solution. Can you please help me solve this issue?
