The word “by” is not displayed anymore in my blog posts

    Hi, I came across a weird problem today. All of a sudden the word “by” vanished from all my blog posts and pages.
    This is the content in the editor.
    “All the open-source IP cores released by Chipmunk Logic are available for free download below”
    This is the content being displayed in the preview of the site after updating
    “All the open-source IP cores released Chipmunk Logic are available for free download below”
    I experimented a little…. when I make it “byy”, it displays “y”,
    if I make it “BY”, it displays “BY” ….

    I have tried different themes. But the problem remains. I feel this this some kind of bug in the wordpress editor, I am using wordpress 6.5.5. Please help out how I can debug the problem?

    This has been rootcaused as plugin issue. Reported to the plugin developer.

    It is a plugin called “Remove footer credit”. It claims to remove footer text, but apparently it removes all occurences of the words which is in the footer. One of the words were “by”
