Slows down site

    This is my 3rd time deactivating Yoast SEO. I would activate it once i see a new update hoping it would fix the issue and after 24hrs might site would once again be painfully slow to load, even the dashboard loads super slow. Not sure how they have not fixed this since ive seen other posts complaining about the same issue. Once again deactivating it.

    Please know that site speed depends on a lot of factors. We have an article on How to speed up your site where we added tips for increasing site speed.

    We understand that you are no longer using our plugin. However, if you ever decide to use it again in the future and you experience the same issue, we suggest checking the following:

    • Make sure the website is meeting the necessary plugin requirements and the rest of your plugins and themes are up-to-date.
    • Check if you’ve already completed the SEO Data Optimization process under Yoast SEO > Tools.
    • Go to Yoast SEO > Settings, disable the Text Link Counter, Insights, and Link Suggestions, and check if the issue still happens.
