For each project (on the page https://www.carolinebarray.com/art-sculpture/ ) I have a created a desktop-version slider and one for mobile devices; none of the mobile version sliders appear on the iPhone using Chrome or Safari. Both versions do function normally on the mobile-size display on the desktop. Not sure about Android.

This is a problem that has popped up recently, originally both versions displayed correctly. (I did disable all other plugins to see if that made a difference, no change.)

    Any insight greatly appreciated. 🙂

    Hi @illustrata

The problem on your site happens because of a 3rd party optimization plugin that modifies the code of the images (as if it was trying to lazy load them) but it fails to add the proper images back to the slider.

We generally don’t recommend using any kind of 3rd party optimization with the slider, because they usually cause problems like this.

I can see that the images are coming from Shortpixel URLs when the images works so I think they might have some kind of lazy loading that causes this to happen. Can you try temporarily disabling Shortpixel and clear the caches of your site (if there’s any) and see if that makes any difference?

Usually optimization plugins have some kind of option to exclude images which have a certain class. We add the following class to all of our images: skip-lazy you could try adding this class for exclusion.

It was the ShortPixel Adaptive images plugin, I’ll contact them now. Thanks so much.
