After having updated this morning to 9.0.16, the site was totally inaccessible from FE and BE. Putting in quarantine the plugin didn’t help. I had to reinstall a backup. This is what the WP error message said (via mail):

before I update now to 9.0.17…. was this issue addressed? I don’t really want to reinstall backups for the rest of the day ;-).

    Cheers

    Hi Martin (@marscom),

Thank you for reaching out, we do appreciate your time. I am sorry you experienced trouble with the last update, but I can confirm that the latest update should be stable and not introduce any issues.

With that said, I had a look at your logs, and these issues don’t seem to be directly related to the update we released. Instead it seems that some files may not have installed correctly during the update.

That process is handled by WordPress core, which means we don’t handle installation ourselves, but allow the plugin installer to fetch and install the plugin files directly from the plugin library.

As a result, I’d recommend deleting the plugin before installing the latest version. No map/marker data would be lost during this process, but it would ensure all base files are installed fully before activation.

    I hope this helps?

Thanks for your friendly, quick and really helpful support! I’ll give that a try. But for today, I still have to digest this morning’s shock moments 😉
