Hi, I have tried to contact woocommerce, my domain host and Royal Mail regarding this – RM have yet to respond and the others can’t help

My Royal Mail Click and Drop link has suddenly stopped working – I disconnected completely and now I can’t reconnect – I’m getting either ‘Can’t connect to Woo commerce’ or ‘Woocommerce API returned HTTP Response {403}’

does anyone know why this would suddenly stop working and what I can do/try to relink it please?

I have disabled all plugins and the same thing happens.

I am not very technical with this kind of thing so please be nice while I try and navigate this!

Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions!

after about 3 hours on the chat to Hosting the other day they told me there was no issue with the IP addresses. I have noticed that Royal Mail are doing an update on Thursday now and they have said it will affect API so I wonder if they are aware of the issue and if this will fix it. Very frustrating though isn’t it?! If anyone has any other ideas please add your comments as it sounds like we are all in the same boat and I will try anything to get it working again!

@shajhan Mobile is showing 7 and Desktop is 36.

It was more than that before this issue happened.

    Hi y’all👋,

I understand your frustration on this issue, but based on the thread, it seems that the issue is not in any way related to WooCommerce but rather Royal Mail.

With that said, I’ll keep the thread open for a while as other community members chime in to share their experiences and the methods they used to have the connection and sync working again.

    All the very best.

I’m not holding my breath that this will stay however I had disconnected from RM completely last week in the hope that reconnecting from scratch would fix it. The Royal Mail site had said the URL needed to be as per the Site URL in WooCommerce – Status so that is what I had been copying and pasting. Today I added a forward slash / to the end of the URL when setting up the integration with RM and suddenly was able to set up the connection again. Not sure if this is helpful or not…..Like I say I’m not confident this will solve the problem permanently but thought I should share incase it helps anyone else

Royal Mail sent me this email earlier today with an updated instruction sheet for WooCommerce stores….not sure if this will help anyone. This is where I noticed they had the / on the end of the URL which then worked when I tried it. I had also followed @petert0011 instructions from last week about the extra boxes to tick within WooCommerce and made sure all plugins and updates were installed.

    Email as follows

I am sorry there is an issue connecting your WooCommerce platform, this is currently under investigation.

We have recently updated the information for connecting to WooCommerce on our help pages, this can be found at

    https://help.parcel.royalmail.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115003242774-How-to-integrate-your-WooCommerce-store

The majority of issues seem to be with customers connecting through 3rd party portals such as ‘Hostinger’   or other cloud based platforms.

Also please check you are using

    • WooCommerce Version 3.0 or higher
    • WordPress version 4.4 or higher
    • API version 2.0 or higher
    • Custom permalink settings must be enabled in your WordPress account. You can set this by going into your ‘Settings’ > ‘Permalinks’ in your WordPress Store. Under ‘Common Settings’ choose any permalink option other than ‘Plain’.
    • Your WooCommerce store URL must be https:// as http:// is not supported.

If you have any further questions regarding Click and Drop, please reply to this email or you can also contact us by phone on 0345 266 1004 from 08:00 – 18.00 Monday to Friday

    Hello you all,

Going by the thread, it clearly seems that the issue is not with WooCommerce but the third-party RM.

In that case, I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. Please feel free to update the community on your findings.

    All the best.
