Hi all, is there a way to change the default block appender placed in the root of the editor https://tppr.me/QtNade ?
I need to update the tooltip title and also change the behavior of the Inserter to only insert one specific block. I know how to do that for InnerBlocks, but can’t find a solution for the root one.

However, I see little chance with the title. It’s best to ask the Gutenberg team about this: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues
I’m not following 100% completely. Do you mean you want to limit which blocks are allowed to be inserted into the post or page editor at the top level (root)? If so:
Basically, I’m thinking we could create a “block template” for the specific post type: https://developer.wordpress.org/block-editor/reference-guides/block-api/block-templates/#custom-post-types
